Hi, I'm Luisa — founder & head baker of Crumb & Bloom
My love for baking started in the kitchen beside my grandmother, where I learned that food was never just food. It was care, patience, tradition, and a way to bring people together. Some of my earliest memories are standing beside her, watching simple ingredients turn into something that made everyone smile.
What began as baking for family, friends, birthdays, and special gatherings slowly grew into something much bigger. Crumb & Bloom was created from that same spirit: thoughtful cakes made with love, detail, and a personal touch.
Today, our studio creates custom cakes and cupcakes for birthdays, weddings, showers, corporate events, and life's most meaningful celebrations across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. No two cakes are ever the same, because no two moments are ever the same.
